Debi Heyn was born Debi Sue Overmyer June 28, 1951 in Ft. Wayne, IN, the daughter of Edward and Bonnie (Gremore) Overmyer. The family moved to Michigan in 1964. Debi’s many God-given abilities were a blessing to her husband and children. God gave Debi and Richard (Rich) Heyn, a son, Justin, and a daughter, Robin.
The blessings given to Debi and through Debi benefitted family and friends, fellow church members and those met in the business world. Now she enjoys the greatest blessing of all.
Debi also endured a number of trials in her life, being shaken by the unexpected death of their son, Justin, when he was just 36, and challenged by multiple physical ailments, including diabetes and the need for kidney dialysis. At the same time, however, the marriage of Justin and Marie blessed Debi with a dear granddaughter, Korin, now in college. Sustained by her God-given faith, Debi pressed on, maintaining a cheerful attitude as in recent years they moved to California for business reasons, returning in 2012, and most recently, wintered in Florida. Debi faithfully ran her Christian race to the finish line as a member of St. Paul’s, Stevensville, with an intervening period of time in the 80’s at Woodland Shores, Bridgman.
Debi is survived by her husband, Richard, of Baroda, daughter, Robin, of Indianapolis, IN, granddaughter, Korin Heyn and daughter-in-law Marie, both of Lake Stevens, Washington, brother, Marc Overmyer of Baroda and uncle, Preston Gremore, also of Baroda, nephew David Overmyer of La Porte, IN and niece Dana Overmyer of Three Oaks.
She was preceded in death by an infant sister, Diane, by her parents, and by her son, Justin.
