Dennis Le Roy Mumaugh

Dennis Mumaugh, 63, of St. Joseph, went home to the Lord on September 18, 2016 where he is now free from his constant pain.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held 6:30 P.M. Wednesday September 21, 2016 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Pastor Ron Rayon officiating. Friends may visit with the family beginning at 5:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.  Memorial donations may be made to the family.  Those wishing to sign Dennis’s Memory Book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com.  Dennis worked for many years at Whirlpool, starting in Plant 7 and then moving to the Ad Center until he became disabled. He enjoyed working with computers until his failing health prohibited it, then he was content to watch Netflix with his beloved dog Gus. The best time of his week was when Bernice Jones from Lakeland Home Healthcare came to see him and help with his personal needs.  She always made Dennis her last patient of the day so they could talk.  A likeable guy, Dennis would do anything he could to help others. When his son Nick’s friends came over to the house he would all sit and talk with them (and we all know Dennis liked to talk), acting as a father figure. Most of all, he loved his son. Nick was more than just a son, he was his father’s helper after he became ill.  Nick loved his dad and has a broken heart that has to heal.  Per his wishes, Dennis will be cremated and be with his loving companion of many years, Booger. Rest in peace Dennis, your pain is gone and you are with the Lord.  Dennis is survived by his wife Jan Nemitz; son Nick (Lynette Griffin) Nemitz; mother Diane Loikits; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Larry Loikits.
