Carol Ann Martin

Carol Ann Martin, 61, of Berrien Springs, MI passed away on Friday, August 19, 2016 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, August 29, 2016 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Pastor Carlos Cruz officiating. Friends may visit with the family prior to the service from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery. Carol Ann was born June 22, 1955 to Carl and Imogene (Richardson) Krause in St. Joseph. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1974 and attended Lake Michigan College. She married Ronnie Kenneth Martin on May 21, 1977 in Niles.  Carol worked at Bosch Automotive Group until her retirement. Always one to keep busy, she enjoyed time on the computer, reading, and acrylic painting on canvas. She spent a great deal of time crocheting and made a blanket for each of her grandchildren. Through all of these activities, her true passion was her family. Carol would drop everything if one of them was in need and raised her grandson since he was 4 years old.  Her love of photography was evident in the numerous candid shots of those she held dear. She will be missed by all. Carol is survived by her mother Imogene; children, Jennifer (Charles) Brugman, Ronnie Martin, Jr., and Robert Martin; 8 grandchildren; great-granddaughter Alexia Hardin; and brothers, Carl, Jr. (Sandy) Krause of Stevensville, and William Krause of St. Joseph. She was preceded in death by her father, Carl and husband, Ronnie Martin.
