Matthew William Kiser

Matthew William Kiser, 48, of St. Joseph, MI passed away on Monday, July 18, 2016. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, July 23, at 2:22 pm, at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home in St. Joseph. The Kiser family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 12:00 pm until 2:22 pm. Friends wishing to leave the family a message of condolence may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com   Matthew was born on November 21, 1967 in Alma, MI to William and Marilyn (Wold) Kiser. A 1986 graduate of Cedar Lake Academy, he went on to become a licensed contractor and owned Par Construction Company for twenty years. Matt was currently employed by Signal Restoration as a Large Loss Project Manager.  Matt had many passions in life. One of those was spending time on the golf course with his friends. Matt lived his whole life riding motorcycles. He spent many hours racing motocross and taking trips on his Harley Davidson. Matt lived life to the fullest and was always up for new challenges. Tragically Matt lost his life due to injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident; however, his family and friends find comfort in knowing Matt died doing something he loved.  Through the help of Gift of Life Matt was able to donate multiple organs and tissues. His gifts, including his lungs, kidneys and pancreas will be used to help others continue their lives.  Matt was devoted to his friends and family, especially his boys Seth and Austin, who were his pride and joy. Matt will be deeply missed.  Matthew is survived by his two sons Seth and Austin Kiser; their mother Lisa Kiser of St. Joseph; parents William and Marilyn Kiser of Ithaca, MI; sister Lori (Greg) LaCourt of Rockford, MI; nieces Eliese and Cesiley; and nephews Cameron and Ethan.
