Donald James Karl

Donald “Don” J. Karl Sr., 81, of Eau Claire, MI passed away peacefully Monday, August 1, 2016. Mass will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, August 20, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 211 Church St. St. Joseph with Father Brian Stanley officiating. Don was born May 20, 1935 in Chicago, IL to James & Rose Marie (Janousek) Karl.He attended Marmion Military Academy and went on to receive his Bachelors in Business Management from DePaul University. On November 4, 1961 he wed Marie Alessio in Chicago, IL. Don worked in Sales Management in the Auto Industry for most of his life until he retired. He was involved with the Knights of Columbus for most of his life as well. He is survived by his children Theresa Knizek, Kathryn (Tom) Altholz, Donald (Ana) Karl Jr., James (Kristin) Karl and Kevin Karl, nine grandchildren and sister Susan Vismek. He was preceded in death by his parents and loving wife of 54 years Marie Karl on March 25, 2016.
