Julie was born March 14, 1962 in Saint Joseph, MI to Joseph and Jean (Lane) Mitchell. A lifelong resident of Saint Joseph, Julie graduated from Saint Joseph High School, and attended Ferris State University prior to starting a family. Julie was extremely devoted to family, especially her two sons and grandson. Julie was an especially creative person who enjoyed blessing others with gifts from her creativity. Quilting was one of the hobbies she enjoyed most. She was generous, often giving to others from her modest means. Julie was well versed in antiques and jewelry and enjoyed sharing her finds via eBay and local merchants.
Most importantly, as a young adult, Julie accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She had the hope that only Christ provides and knew the reality that heaven would be the place God promised—the place where troubles will be no more. It was certainly Julie’s hope that those she knew would come to that same saving faith in Jesus Christ.
Julie is survived by her Mother, Jean Lane LeValley of Benton Harbor and two sons, Grant (London) Klug of New Braunfels, TX and Logan Klug of Scottsdale, AZ. Also surviving are grandson, Trent Klug; sister, Jenna (Jim) Mitchell Everett of Saint Joseph, MI; brother, Joseph (Joni) Mitchell of Central Point, OR; niece, Joezie Mitchell; and nephews, Jace Mitchell and Ryan, Austin and Lane Everett. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph William Mitchell.
