Ronald Eugene Kienzle, 63, of St. Joseph Township, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 11, 2016.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 P.M., Monday, July 18, 2016 at the Mendel Center. Burial will follow at Crystal Springs Cemetery in Benton Harbor. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 until 5:00 P.M., Sunday, July 17 at the Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Ronald was born July 25, 1952 in Benton Harbor to the late Roy W. and Geraldine (Shaffer) Kienzle. He attended grade school at St. Matthew’s Lutheran School, then attended Benton Harbor High School and graduated from the Police Academy at Lake Michigan College. He also proudly served his country in the United States Army. Ron worked in law enforcement his entire adult life, first with the Benton Township Police Department, and most recently, was employed at the Berrien County Court House as a bailiff. His many interests ranged from riding his Harley, spending time with his many friends, visiting his daughters and grandchildren and spending time with his beloved dog Ariel. Ronald believed in living his life to the fullest and always having a good time.
Ronald is survived by daughters, Heather (Ray) Mullikin of Mansfield, TX, and Amy (Dave) Hatfield of Spring Hill, FL; grandchildren, Raymond and Alana Mullikin and Halie and Kayla Sheaffer; brothers, Jerry Kienzle of Kalamazoo, MI, Steve (Cindy) Kienzle of Aiken, SC, and Joe (Barbara) of St. Joseph; and his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers David and Thomas Kienzle.
