Rodney Burch

Rodney “Rod” Burch, 64, of Stevensville, MI passed away, Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, July 21, 2016, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Rev. Tom Bird officiating. Friends may visit with the family Wednesday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Rod was born on December 1, 1951 in Cincinnati, OH to Audley and Doris (Richardson) Burch. He graduated from St. Joseph High School. On July 7, 1973 he married the love of his life Deborah J. Baker in St. Joseph, MI. He was a member of the Alpha Phi Omega Fraternity while attending Lake Michigan College. Rod held many jobs throughout his lifetime, some of which include, circulation manager for the Herald-Palladium, security for Bosch and most recently volunteered as the greeter at Slackers Family Fun Center. Rod had a big heart and was always willing to lend a hand, offer a ride or just be a listening ear to any one in need.  Rod is survived by his wife, Deborah; son, JJ of Stevensville; mother-in- law, Jean Baker of Stevensville; sister-in-law, Sandra (Robert) Baushke of Stevensville; brother-in-law, Rick (Sheryl) Baker of Stevensville; along with numerous nieces and nephews.   Rod was preceded in death by his parents.
