Jim was born on September 17, 1949 in Roselle, Illinois to Evelyn (Pozdol) Jankowski. In 1972, Jim married Janet Jankowski, who preceded him in death in 2002. On November 22, 2003 he married the former Sally Hamilton. Jim worked as a Senior Tech at Whirlpool KitchenAid for almost 25 years before retiring. When given the opportunity, Jim would take his motorcycle out for a ride; otherwise, he would be in his garage putzing around. If a problem arose, Jim was the go-to man, he was tech-savvy and a hands-on problem solver. He enjoyed watching the Military & History Channel, was a proud Chicago Bears fan and was an avid collector of Minions (Despicable Me).
Jim is survived by his wife, Sally; sons, Jason (Tara) Jankowski of Indianapolis, IN and Jeremy (Angela) Jankowski of Eau Claire; step-daughter Amy Bartalone; and grandchildren, Joshua, Cohen, Allison, Miranda, Mikayla and Austin.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Janet.
