Genevieve Agnes Serocki

Genevieve Agnes (Fox) Serocki, 82, of St. Joseph, MI passed away at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph on Sunday May 29, 2016. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI.   Genevieve was born on August 3, 1933, in Indianapolis, IN to the late Richard and Genevieve (Zix) Fox. On June 2, 1956, in Chicago, IL she married the love of her life, Norbert August Serocki, and was married almost 60 years. Genevieve was a registered nurse. She loved the outdoors, nature, camping, canoeing and sailing, as well as classical music and reading. Most of all she loved her family. Genevieve was a member of Ss. John and Bernard Parish.   She is survived by her husband – Norbert; her children – Joseph (Georgette) Serocki of Ingleside, IL, Margaret “Peg” (Robert) Pinkowski of Baroda, MI, and Julie Serocki of St. Joseph, MI; grandchildren – Karen, Brian, Becky and Kim Serocki, Joe, Genevieve, Alex and Gus Pinkowski; and sisters – Dorothy (Frank) Kolbaba of Grapevine, TX and Sr. Mary T. Fox of Evansville, IN. Genevieve is preceded in death by her siblings – Catherine Padula, Richard Fox, Jr., Anita Ritzler and Donna Fox.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 3, 2016, 11:30am at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 555 Delaware St., Benton Harbor, MI, with Father Mike Rejent officiating.
