Constance Natalie Graham

Constance “Connie” N. Graham, 92, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville, MI. Connie and Ed Graham had lived in Texas since 1995 and most recently in Tyler, TX until June 2015. Connie was born on January 28, 1924 in Yuba City, CA to Lawrence Elwood & Ruth Irene (Coyle) Reid. Connie graduated from Acalanes High School in CA in 1942 and married Ed on October 1 of that year. She worked in clerical and administrative jobs; for a few years they owned the General Store in Carmel Valley, CA. Connie travelled with her husband Ed (and children) throughout his military career in the U.S. and Germany. They ended their working years in Santa Rosa, CA, and then spent ten years traveling the U.S. in a fifth-wheel camper before settling in Texas. Connie loved cooking, gardening, and taking care of family and pets. Connie is survived by her children, Michael “Mike” (Wynn) Graham of Evanston, IL, and Kathleen “Kathy” (Edward) Tranah, from Seven Points, TX; grandchildren, Michelle McDaniel (Terry Owen) of Sacramento, CA, Galen (Amanda) Graham of Los Angeles, CA, William Graham of Evanston, IL and Robert (Sarah) Graham of Carbondale, IL; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and five nieces. Connie was preceded in death by parents, Lawrence and Irene; husband of 72 years, Edward Michael Graham on October 3rd, 2014; sisters Lois Lopez and Mavis Tucker; and grandson Brian Shear. Cremation has taken place and a private memorial gathering will be held.
