Robert Malzon

Robert Malzon, 91, of St. Joseph, MI went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, April 22, 2016.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Washington Avenue Church of God, 4051 Washington Ave., St. Joseph with Rev. Andy Hannich and Rev. Siegfried Pudel officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Bluff Cemetery in Stevensville. Friends may visit from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M., Monday, April 25, 2016 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to The Washington Ave. Church of God in c/o the Church in Michailovka, Ukraine. Those wishing to share a memory of Robert online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com  Robert was born September 30, 1924 in Horschtschik, Russia to Rudolf & Emma (Schimann) Molzan. On June 20, 1948 he married Hedwig Herbstreit in Berka, Germany. Robert with Hedwig and daughter immigrated to St. Joseph, Michigan in June 1956. Robert worked as a self-employed contractor. He was part of the Gideon’s and enjoyed going on mission trips. He enjoyed woodworking, taking walks, music, nature and especially spending time with his grandchildren. We thank God for his exemplary life of faith and service.  He is missed dearly by his children, Margit (Siegfried) Pudel, Gerald (Cherie) Malzon, and Ronald (Nancy) Malzon; 6 grandchildren Andrea (Frank) Struth, Christian (Vicki) Pudel, Jennifer (Daniel) Vasconez, Jeremy (Laura) Malzon, Michelle Malzon, Nathan Malzon; and 11great-grandchildren.  Robert was preceded in death by his wife Hedwig in 2011, as well as his 4 siblings and his parents.
