Lorraine's Obituary

Lorraine E. Truhn, 87, of Stevensville, went to meet her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at her sister’s home. A Celebration of Life Eternal will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Court & Market Streets, St. Joseph, with Rev. Michael Roth officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Run Cemetery, St. Joseph. Friends may visit with the family from Noon until 1:00 P.M. Friday at at the Church.  Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or Hospice at Home.  Those wishing to sign Lorraine’s Memory Book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com.  Lorraine was born August 7, 1928 in Benton Harbor to George Sr. & Julianna (Menchinger) Truhn. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School, Class of 1945.  Lorraine was employed at Remington Rand for many years until they closed, when she gained employment at Burch Printers in Benton Harbor.  She retired in 1994.  Lorraine was a life time member of Trinity Lutheran Church.  Lorraine is survived by her sister Shirley Truhn of St. Joseph; her sister-in-law Norma Jean Truhn of St. Joseph; nieces & nephews- Michael Truhn, St. Joseph, Cheryl Demis, St. Joseph, Curtis (Peggy) Truhn, Singapore, Jeffrey Truhn, Seymour, Texas, and Julie (Brent) Engel, St. Joseph; and numerous great & great-great nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Lila Truhn on August 27, 2005 and her brother George Truhn, Jr. on November 15, 2015.
