Irving S. Flamm, 93, of St. Joseph passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at his home. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at 1 PM at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Rabbi David Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Temple B’nai Shalom Cemetery. Memorial contribution may be made to Temple B’nai Shalom Cemetery Endowment Fund. Those wishing to leave an online condolence for Irving may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com Irving was born on January 25, 1923 in Eau Claire to Joseph & Anna (Sax) Flamm. On July 14, 1946 Irving married the love of his life, Lois, in Benton Harbor. Lois preceded him in death on January 16, 1998. Irving worked for most of his life in the manufacturing and sales of corrugated boxes for the produce industry. He was very involved in the agricultural community and was a proud Mason. Irving is survived by his children, Joel Flamm of Georgia, Steven (Marlene) Flamm of Michigan, Martin (Suzanne) Flamm of Florida and Cynthia (Michael) Hara of Illinois; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Phyllis Rubin; and caregiver for over 3 years, Estela (Darryl) Brogle. Irving was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph & Anna; wife, Lois; and siblings, Seymour & Harriet Flamm.
