Larry Blevens

Larry Blevens, 63, of Benton Harbor, MI passed away Friday, March 25, 2016 at his home.  Larry was born May 10, 1952 in Watervliet, MI to Henry & Jerry (Greer) Blevens. He graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1969 and attended Western Michigan University. Larry served his county in the United States Navy. On November 27, 2011 he married CC Gillespie in Benton Harbor. Larry worked for Home Depot and also built movie sets in Los Angeles, CA for 16 years. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing, wood working and was an avid Cubs and Michigan State Fan.  Larry is survived by his wife CC Gillespie of Benton Harbor; son Nathan Blevens of Phoenix, AZ; brother Terry (Marcia) Blevens of Watervliet; two sisters Cherie Whorwell of Elkhart, IN and Diana DeWitt of CA; aunt Jan Greer of TN; a niece who was like a daughter Bailey Gruss and many nieces and nephews. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law Dick Gillespie.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice at Home. Larry wished for everyone to be kind to each other.
