David Russell

David “Dave” Russell, 53, of St. Joseph, MI passed away Friday, February 19, 2016 at his home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 619 Market St., St. Joseph with Pastor Michael Roth officiating.  Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma.  Friends may visit from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Friday, February 26, 2016 at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.  Those wishing to sign Dave’s guestbook may do so online at www.starks-menchinger.com. Dave was born June 26, 1962 in Benton Harbor, MI to John “Bob” & Arlene (Hahn) Russell.  He was a graduate of Benton Harbor High School in 1980.  Dave worked as a Steel Manufacturing Operator at Sandvik for 33 years.  He enjoyed the outdoors while hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling and most of all tending to his lawn.  Dave was an avid University of Michigan football fan, and enjoyed his yearly trips to the Dominican.  He was a very involved father and loved spending time with his kids. Dave is survived by his love Rhonda Russell of 33 years; children Heather Russell of St. Joseph and Bryan Russell of St. Joseph; parents Bob & Arlene Russell of Benton Harbor; brother Ronald “Ron” (Bonnie) Russell of St. Joseph; sister Lisa (Joshua) Sutherland of Benton Harbor; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents William (Muriel) Russell and Robert (Alice) Hahn; and brothers Scott Russell and John Russell Jr.
