Nell's Obituary

Nell Ellsworth, 77, of Baroda passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Lakeland Medical Center. A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 11 AM at First Apostolic Church, 10916 California Rd., Bridgman, with Pastor David Coban, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Ruggles Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family Monday, January 18, 2016 from 5 PM until 8 PM at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to First Apostolic Church. Those wishing to leave an online condolence for Nell may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Nell was born on January 23, 1938 in Blytheville, AK to William and Myrtle (Nolan) Hurt. On June 27, 1980, Nell married the love of her life, Ronald Ellsworth at the First Apostolic Church. For over 20 years Nell worked and retired as an Aid for Lakeland Heath Care.  She was a proud member of her church and enjoyed shopping, painting and sewing. However, the most important item in Nell’s life was her family. Spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren meant the world to her. Nell is survived by husband of 35 years, Ronald; children, Jeri (Paul) Walters of Buchanan, Theresa (Robert) Hamilton of Galien, and JR Gambill of Virginia Beach, VA; brother, George Hurt; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren that knew her as ‘granny’; and numerous nieces and nephews. Nell was preceded in death by her parents, William and Myrtle; daughter, Beverly; and siblings, Betty Jean King and John Hurt.
