Adeline's Obituary

Adeline “Lilli” Warneboldt, 86, of St. Joseph, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Lakeland Medical Center-St. Joseph.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:30 am Monday, February 29, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 619 Market St., St. Joseph with Pastor Michael Roth officiating.  Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery at 2:00 pm.  Friends may visit at11:00 am until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church Missionary Fund or Berrien County Cancer Service.Those wishing to signAdeline’s Memory Book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com.  Adeline was born on June 15, 1929 in Volhynia, Poland to Gottlieb & Matilda Schroeder.  She married Ewald Warneboldt on December 1, 1952 in Nordsteimke.  In 1952, Adeline and Ewald made the trip to the United States.  Their journey began in Missouri and later they made a trip to St. Joseph to visit a cousin where they bought a house and never left.  Adeline enjoyed cooking soups and German dishes.  When she was younger, she worked for a German pastry chef in Germany.  She also enjoyed canning her bread and butter pickles and applesauce for her family andloved spending time with her two grandchildren, Ryan & Alyssa Krenek.  Adeline is survived by her husband, Ewald; daughters, Evelyn Warneboldtof St. Joseph andIna (Scott) Krenek of Coloma; two grandchildren; sister, Erna Joachim of St. Joseph and brother, Helmut Schroeder of Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings.
