Darwin Rose

Darwin “Vern” Rose, 81, of St. Joseph, MI passed away Saturday, February 13, 2016 at his home.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Service, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Pastor Chris Noffke officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Friends may visit from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Rose Family. On June 6, 1958 he married Delores Hoffius in St. Joseph. Darwin worked for Bendix and was also a truck driver for Coloma Frozen Foods for many years. Darwin loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. His grandchildren were not only his fishing buddies but his best friends. In his spare time he enjoyed bowling, golfing and especially fishing.  Darwin is survived by his children Pam Bush of Buchanan, Stuart (Dianne) Rose of Buchanan, Edith (Patrick) Sweeney of CA, Robin Claywell of St. Joseph, and Chris Rose of St. Joseph, 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and special nephew Dana Rose. Darwin was preceded in death by his parents, wife Delores, son Scott Rose and five siblings.
