Michael Arthur Kalinas

Michael Arthur Kalinas, 53, passed away suddenly on Jan. 17, 2016. Mike is survived by his daughters, Jenna (Brandon) Wyant and Chloe Kalinas; his sisters: Deborah (Jay) Chandonnet, Denise (Greg) Raklovits, Michelle (Todd) Hickam; and brother, Kelly Kalinas. His nephews and nieces: Ryan and Sarah Chandonnet, Ashley and Alexandra Raklovits, Matthew and Rachel Hickam; and devoted companion, Bonnie Ackerman. Lastly, Jerry and Patsy Kremers and family. Mike was a graduate of Lake Michigan Catholic High School. He received his tool and die journeyman card and became the principal owner of M&E Tool & Die in Bangor. Mike had a zest for life. He enjoyed the outdoors: hunting, fishing, boating, attending (rock & country) concerts and was most passionate about motocross racing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Lorraine Kalinas. A celebration of life will take place at Starks & Menchinger Funeral Chapel, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph, at 10 a.m. Saturday with family visitation at 9 a.m. Those wishing to sign Michael’s guest book may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com.
