Bobby Gene Murphy

Bobby Gene Murphy, 65, of St. Joseph, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at his home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 7, 2015 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph.  Memorials may be made to PACE, St. Joseph. Murphy and Minnie (Gish) Murphy.  He graduated from Meinrad Seminary in St. Meinrad, Indiana with a degree in philosophy. Bobby worked in Quality Control in computer grafting for Aeroquip in Henderson for 25 years. He enjoyed classical music and Broadway musical theater.  He sang in the Henderson Community Choir and performed in Les Miserables. Bobby enjoyed cooking, reading, sewing and doing needlepoint.  He dearly loved his church, Trinity Lutheran. He is survived by a sister Marsha (Tony) Peach, Henderson, KY, brother Randy (Kim) Murphy, Henderson, KY, sister Julie (Brian) Pillow, St. Joseph; 5 nieces and nephews; 13 great nieces and nephews; 3 great-great nieces and nephews; dearest friend Van Taylor; and his cat Chloe. Bobby was preceded by his parents, brothers Edward Allen Murphy, David Wayne Murphy, and his life partner Bob Withrow.
