Elizabeth (Betty) A. Regan (nee Wiegand), 91, of St. Joseph passed away November 17, 2015 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 211 Church St., St. Joseph with Father Thomas McNally officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Friends may visit from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Friday, November 20, 2015 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Service, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with rosary recited at 8:00 P.M. Those wishing to share a memory of Betty online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com Betty was born September 23, 1924 in Michigan City, IN to Henry and Agnes (O’Conner) Wiegand. She married F. Weldon Regan, Jr. on June 18, 1949 in Michigan City. Betty was employed as a Registered Nurse. She enjoyed sailing on Lake Michigan with her husband and family. Betty was proud to have participated in several Chicago Yacht Club Mackinac races on the “Leprechaun.” She was very artistic and in her spare time enjoyed painting. Betty was also a talented writer, even having some of her written work published. Betty is survived by her husband of 66 years, Weldon; children, Weldon (Julia) Regan, William (Karen) Regan, Andrew (Denise) Regan, Catherine (Joseph) Daly and Elizabeth (Paul) Maloney; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous siblings. Betty was preceded in death by her parents.
