Barbara Ann Kasischke

Barbara Ann Kasischke, 76, of Eau Claire, MI, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph, MI after a lengthy illness. Barbara was born July 9, 1939 in Coloma, MI to George & Gladys (Rodewald) Molter. She graduated from Coloma High School in 1957. On June 30, 1979 she married Gerald Kasischke. Barb retired from Whirlpool – St. Joseph Division after 32 years of service. She was a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star and proudly served as a Grand Officer, O.E.S. of Michigan. Prior to the decline in health Barb loved to travel, play golf, troll the river with her husband and relax in her pontoon on Paw Paw Lake with friends and family. She was a very active member of Peace Lutheran Church and belonged to FOP #96 and VFW Auxiliary. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Immoos of Eau Claire, MI; beloved canines, Murphy & Arnie; stepson, Steven (Nanci) Kasischke, granddaughter, Lauren Kasischke all of Mathuen, MA; brother, Robert (Hildegard) Molter of Coloma; sister, Judith (John) Morse of Jones, MI; and a host of nieces and nephews.  She also leaves behind to mourn her passing her friend and caregiver Martha E., who greatly enriched Barb’s life over the last seven months. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Victoria Lynn Immoos in November 1961; parents, George & Gladys Molter; sister, Linda Gorske; grandson, Paul Kasischke; and husband, Gerald A. Kasischke in August 2005. An informal gathering of friends and family will be held at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI from 5pm to 7pm on Friday, November 6, 2015. Barbara will be laid to rest next to her husband, Gerald, in Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph, MI during a private service.
