Cleather's Obituary
Cleather Micken, 73, of Benton Harbor passed away on November 4, 2015 at her home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 12 PM at Starks and Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Pastor DeFrance officiating. Friends may visit from 10 AM until the time of the service. Burial will take place at Crystal Springs Cemetery in Benton Harbor. Memorial contributions may be made to P.A.C.E. Cleather was born on October 2, 1942 in Tunica, Mississippi to Sip and Nellie (Rhimes) Terry. Later in life, Cleather moved to Benton Harbor to raise her family. She enjoyed card games and watching Wheel of Fortune. Cleather loved her family very much and will be missed by all.
Cleather is survived by her children, Dorethea (Riley) Bradford, Johnny Mickie, Willie Micken, Jacquelin (LaShaun, Sr.) Wilson, Tommy (Cathy) Phipps, Therita Micken, and Kenneth (Ashley) Micken; siblings, Mercideen Coleman, Georgia Martin, Mary Francis Cooks, and Lily (Charles) Bland; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Cleather was preceded in death by her parents, Nellie & Sip Terry; son, James Micken; sister, Inez Davis; and brother, J. W. Terry.
