Paul Edward Wesner

Paul E. Wesner, 86 was born in St. Joseph and lived in St. Joseph area most of his life. He was a graduate of St. Joseph High School and Lake Michigan College and attended Michigan State. Paul proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Upon his discharge from the Air Force he went on to work for G.A.C Finance Corp. and became manager of their Benton Harbor office. In 1960 he accepted a job with the People’s State Bank of St. Joseph where he was in charge of the consumer loan department. He retired in 1990 at the Vice President. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Sherrill; daughters Paula (Greg) Taylor of Lancaster, PA and Sunny Palmisano of Jackson, MS; step daughter Joyel Thierbach of Neuman, GA; step son Jonathan (Jennifer) Theirbach of Stevensville; grandsons Jordon (Emily) Taylor of AZ, and Matt Taylor of AZ; granddaughter Angel Thierbach of GA and brother Frank (Pat) Wesner of Bothell, WA. Paul’s wishes were cremation and for the family services to be held privately. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice at Home or the Humane Society of Southwest Michigan.
