Fannie's Obituary

Fannie Palmer, 90, of Stevensville, MI , passed away Friday, October 23, 2015 at Pine Ridge Nursing Home in Stevensville. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Service, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Rev. Marlo O. Fritzke officiating. Burial will follow at Lincoln Township Cemetery in Stevensville. Friends may visit from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Monday, October 26, 2015 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice at Home. Those wishing to share a memory of Fannie online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com Fannie was born September 13, 1925 in Bono, Arkansas, to Walter & Nellie (Berry) Clifft. On July 5, 1943 she married Alonzo Palmer in Paragould, Arkansas Fannie worked for VM Corporation, Shepherd Casters, and retired from Midwest Timers in 1994. In her spare time she enjoyed painting, crocheting, sewing, quilting, watching hummingbirds and shopping. Fannie is survived by her daughters Carol Palmer of Benton Harbor, Connie (Michael) Miston of Stevensville, Margaret (Thomas) Mortensen of Adams, WI; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and daughter-in-law Mona Palmer. Fannie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons Larry Palmer, Jerry Palmer and Ron Palmer, daughter Peggy Bishop, and grandson Michael Bishop.
