Tim Steven MacDonald

Tim MacDonald, 70, of St. Joseph passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2015. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks and Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, 269-556-9450. A Celebration of Tim’s life will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at The Box Factory, 1101 Broad St., St. Joseph from 1 PM until 4 PM. Cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions may be made to the MacDonald family, in care of Sherry MacDonald. Those wishing to leave an online condolence for Tim may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com Tim was born on August 21, 1945 in Detroit, MI to Bruce and Jewel (Meredith) MacDonald. On September 26, 1995 Tim married Sherry Teachout and the two of them built a wonderful life in St. Joseph. Tim was an incredible artist throughout his life. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts Herron School of Art and Design of Indiana University. If Tim wasn’t in his studio painting he would be in the kitchen cooking up his favorite Sheppard’s pie recipe or any Korean cuisine. Every night at 5:00 PM Tim would sit with his princess, Sherry, drinking martinis, discussing anything and everything, including Tim’s favorite subject, politics. And oh boy, don’t ever ask about his Kindle! Once Tim got started on that subject there was no stopping him.  He was a proud American and wasn’t afraid to let the world know. Tim is survived by his mother Jewel; wife, Sherry; children, Kelley (Travis) Feldman of Fishers, IN, Amy (Joel) Zimmer of Indianapolis, IN, Tyler (Alicia) MacDonald of Indianapolis, IN, Connor MacDonald of South Bend, IN, and Kiley (Christian) Mambelli of New York, NY; grandchildren, Caleb, Meredith, Kiernan, Georgia, Isla, Henry, and River; Niece and nephews, Maura, Aili, Cullen and Travis; and siblings, John (Diane) MacDonald and Hugh MacDonald. Tim was preceded in death by his father, Bruce; and step-son, Kelly Thomas Kuball.
