Michael Le Mattson

Michael Mattson Jr., 36, of St. Joseph, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2015. Michael was born September 13, 1979 in St. Joseph to Michael & Debra (Huscher)  Mattson.  He graduated in 1998 from St. Joseph High School where he played the tuba, ran track and was a pole vaulter.  He earned his EMT license when he was a senior in high school and later became an Emergency Medical Technician Specialist.  Michael was also an exceptional bass player. Michael is survived by his parents, sister Kelliey (Jay) Vanbuskirk, nephews Colin & Nathan Vanbuskirk of Portage; Aunts Elizabeth (Dennis) Sexton of Benton Harbor and Susan (Kim) Hoppe of Paw Paw; cousins Marla (Tim) McDonnell, Connor & Elizabeth McDonnell of St. Joseph and his beloved Gus, Sophie, Buster, Gracie and Herbie. Michael was our son, brother, nephew, cousin loved beyond measure.
