Douglas “Doug” A. Edelberg, 63, of Millburg, MI passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Lakeland Medical Center-St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd. St. Joseph In honor of Doug please wear your Cubs gear or Cubs colors. Graveside Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, October 2, 2015 at Millburg Cemetery. Doug was born January 26, 1952 in Benton Harbor, MI to Emil & Astrid (Lindberg) Edelberg.  He attended the Gateway Center in Berrien Springs for 25 years.  Doug was an avid Cubs fan and bowler. He enjoyed playing darts, pool, basketball and softball. He loved his Country music, drinking Mt. Dew and giving hugs to anyone he crossed paths with. Doug was a skilled runner and ran in the Special Olympics several times in the 1980’s. He is survived by his brothers David “Dave” (Tena) Edelberg of Watervliet, Bruce (Mary) Edelberg of Benton Harbor and Robert “Bob” (Jane) Edelberg of Millburg; and several nieces and nephews whom he loved very much. He was preceded in death by his parents.
