Deanna Jean Frietas

Deanna Rydleski Frietas, 77, of St. Joseph, MI, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Pine Ridge Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Stevensville. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 5, 2015 at Starks and Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph with Pastor Noah Headrick officiating.  Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens.  Friends may visit from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.  Memorial donations may be made to Berrien County Cancer Service.  Those wishing to leave a memory or condolence of Deanna online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Deanna was born June 15, 1938 in La Salle, Illinois. On May 23, 1992, Deanna married Daniel Frietas, who preceded her in death on May 4, 2015. For many years Deanna worked in several secretarial jobs. Deanna enjoyed garage sale shopping, quilting and bird watching. She also loved watching old movies. Deanna is survived by her sons, John (Deanna) Rydleski of Stevensville and James (June) Rydleski of St. Joseph; grandchildren Amy, Eric, Lexie, Tanner and Jenna Rydleski; sister, Sharon (Howard) Spohn; and her cat, Taffy. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Robert Rydleski; and Daniel Frietas.
