Marjorie J. Polfus, 90, of St. Joseph, MI passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Hanson Hospice in Stevensville.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, September 14, 2015 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd. St. Joseph with Pastor Ron Frank officiating. Burial to follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Friends may visit from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Sunday, September 13, 2015 at the funeral home. Marjorie was born October 30, 1924 in Benton Harbor, MI to Hugh & Esther (Kienzle) Gow. She was a graduate of Benton Harbor High School. On May 15, 1965 she married Arnold Polfus in St. Joseph. Marjorie worked as a supervisor at VM Corp for 25 years before retiring in 1975. She was a member of the DANK, and Zion United Church of Christ. Marjorie enjoyed her trips to The Villages, FL with her caregivers Dan & Carol Meister and their two dogs.
Marjorie is survived by numerous nieces and nephews; her caregivers Dan & Carol Meister of St. Joseph, the Meister family and the Meister family great-grandchildren Maddux and Maizie Murphy. She was preceded in death by her husband Arnold in 1990, and her loving companion of 16 years Eugene Meister in 2009 and brother Leroy Gow.
