Harmon's Obituary
Harmon A. Mulbar, 91, of St. Joseph, MI passed away Monday, August 31, 2015 at Lakeland Medical Center St. Joseph.
Harmon was born July 6, 1924 in Jackson, MI to Oscar Schiller and Alice Harmon. He was a graduate of East Lansing High School in 1942. He went on to join the Navy where he proudly served his country until he was honorably discharged. In 1954 he received his Bachelors of Arts Degree from Alma College. On July 5, 1948 he wed Cherilene “Cheri” Minot in Newaygo, MI. Harmon worked at the American Society of Agricultural Engineers as a Salesman for 25 years before retiring. He was a member of the St. Joseph Lions Club, and was a volunteer at the Loggerhead Museum in Juno Beach, FL. Harmon was an avid runner for years, enjoyed playing golf, Bridge and watching Michigan State sporting events, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years Cheri, daughters Leah Coultes of Benton Harbor, and Nancy (Jeff) Bussler of Holland, MI; grandchildren Kristen (Nathan) Hill of Denver, Andrew Bussler of Denver, Daniel Coultes of New Orleans and Catherine Coultes of St. Joseph; great-grandchildren Lissa Jorian, Tenley Hill, Tessa Hill, Teagan Hill and James Williams and former son-in-law Randy Coultes. He was preceded in death by his parents, his adoptive father Harold Mulbar, and granddaughter Jane Clare Coultes.
A Celebration of Life Service will take place privately at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
