Susan Wolfe

Susan Wolfe, 66, of St. Joseph, MI lost her life to cancer on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 24, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 211 Church St., St. Joseph with Msgr. Sears officiating. Memorials may be made to the Berrien County Cancer Society or St. Joseph Catholic Church. She graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School and Western Michigan University. She attended Oxford University because of an interest in Shakespeare. A longtime supporter of Western Michigan University sports, especially hockey and football, Susan served for many years on the Blue Line Club, including 10 years as President. In 2004 Susan was named Woman of the Year by Western’s Varsity W Club. Susan was employed for 36 years with Alfred Opas Insurance in St. Joseph where she made many longtime friends. Susan was preceded in death by her father Bartley J. McDonnell and is survived by her loving husband of 44 years Richard, her mother Joan McDonnell (both of St. Joseph), and a brother Michael McDonnell (Kalamazoo, MI).
