William's Obituary

William H. Larsen, 95, formerly of Three Oaks & Baroda, Michigan, passed away, Monday, July 13, 2015 at Royalton Manor in St. Joseph. William was born March 17, 1920 in Chicago to Harry & Florence (Gostage) Larsen.  He graduated from Lane Tech High School in Chicago in 1938.  William served his country in the United States Army during WWII, stationed in Europe, and was awarded the Purple Heart.  On September 3, 1960, he married the former Margaret Andrews.  He was employed as a delivery driver for Producer’s Creamery in Benton Harbor, and later as a school bus driver for River Valley School District, and volunteered for the River Valley Senior Center as a bus driver. In his free time, William enjoyed attending estate sales and taking his treasures to area flea markets.  He especially enjoyed collecting books. William is survived by his daughter Carole (David) Van Antwerp of Watervliet; three grandchildren-Chad Olmsted, Jack Van Antwerp & D. Paul Van Antwerp; and his canine companion Chucky.  He was preceded in death by his son Robert Larsen in 1991 and his wife Margie in 2005.
