Anthony VanBeukering

Anthony “Tony” VanBeukering, 94, formerly of Battle Creek, MI passed away Monday, July 20, 2015 at Pine Ridge Nursing Home in Stevensville, MI. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Sunday, July 26, 2015 at the Battle Creek Seventh Day Adventist Tabernacle.  Tony will be laid to rest Monday, July 27, 2015 at the Mt. Ever-rest Memorial Park in Kalamazoo, MI. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Battle Creek Academy. He was a graduate of Cedar Lake Academy in 1941. Tony worked as a carpenter for many years. On September 10, 1980 he wed Fern Collar in Battle Creek. Tony was a member of the Battle Creek Tabernacle for many years. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years Fern, son James (Vicki) VanBeukering; step-chidren Bruce Papendick, Julie (Sam) Swett, Judy (Mark) Johnston, Debby (Roger) Yiirs, Lori (Ron) Newcomb and Becki Babcock; four grandchildren; several step grandchildren; and numerous great- grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. Tony was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Jean Smith in 1979; daughter Jean Ann Klinger, son Ronald VanBeukering during the Vietnam War; and 3 sisters.
