Kenneth E. Ryno, 75, of St. Joseph, passed away, Sunday, July 26, 2015 at Lakeland Medical Center St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 31, 2015 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd. St. Joseph with Rev. Marlo Fritzke officiating. Burial to follow at Hickory Bluff Cemetery. Friends may visit from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, July 30 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. Those wishing to sign Ken’s guestbook may do so online at www.starks-menchinger.com. Ken was born August 21, 1939 in Coloma, MI to Erwin Kenneth & Bernice Irene (Allen) Ryno. Upon completing high school he joined the United States Air Force where he proudly served his country in the Philippines from September 1956 until he was honorably discharged in January 1960. Ken enjoyed his career as a Miller Beer truck driver for 30 years, but most recently he retired from Lakeland Hospital St. Joseph as a Courier. On February 24, 1998 he wed Silvia Rein in Las Vegas, NV.  He was a member of the Benton Harbor/St. Joseph Elks Lodge #541 and the FOP Lodge #96. Ken enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers and Lions, playing golf, and most of all his trips to Vegas, where he enjoyed playing Craps. Ken is survived by his wife Silvia; children Michael Ryno of St. Joseph, Mark Ryno of St. Joseph, Bryan Dietz of St. Joseph, and Marcus (Aimee) Dietz of Union, KY; grandchildren Brando Ryno, Melissa Schuab, MacKenzie Dietz and Logan Dietz; siblings Sandy (Ed) Conradi of Chicago, IL, Rick (Cheryl) Ryno of St. Joseph and Vicki Kesterke of St. Joseph; stepmother Thelma Ryno, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
