Beverly Jean (Loya) Terry, 65, of St. Joseph arrived at the beautiful gates of heaven on Monday, June 29, 2015 due to complications during her battle with cancer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Friday, July 3, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 220 Church St., St. Joseph, with Father James Morris officiating. Friends may visit on Thursday, July 2, 2015 from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. with a Prayer Service held at 7 P.M. at Starks and Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Beverly was born on July 8, 1949 in Auburn, NY to Thomas and Viola (Wolcott) Loya. She was the youngest girl of thirteen children. She met her soul mate, Paul Terry, while he was attending the nuclear power school in West Milton, NY. The two were married December 6, 1969 and moved to the St. Joseph area after Paul completed his Naval Services.
Beverly and Paul spent an incredible 45 years together. In those wonderful years they raised a family and touched many lives. She devoted her life to creating loving memories with her husband, 4 children, 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Beverly is survived by her husband; sons, Keith (Nicole) Terry of Stevensville, Wilton “Butch” (Janelle) Terry, II of Stevensville, Brian (Shannon) Terry of San Diago, CA; daughter, Melody (Steven) Power of Wichita Falls, TX; 12 grandchildren, Savanna, Nicholas, Hayley, Patricia, Tyler, Shawn, Joshua, Alisha, Christoper, Bryce, Ella and Allena; 3 great-grandchildren, Aiden, Natalie and Olivia; 8 brothers and 2 sisters.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Janet (Loya) McMillian and Phyllis (Loya-Dake) Randall.
