Ben Huebner, 82, of Baroda, MI passed away Thursday June 11, 2015 at Hanson Hospice Center. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday June 15, 2015 at First Church of Nazarene, 3351 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Pastor Dean Pickett officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Garden in Coloma. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 P.M. until time of service at the church on Monday, June 15, 2015. Memorials may be made to Hospice at Home or First Church of Nazarene. Those wishing to share a memory of Ben online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Ben was born January 5, 1933 in Jamestown, North Dakota to Herbert & Frances (Jenkins) Huebner. He attended Spring Grove High School in Minnesota. On July 1, 1961 he married the love of his life Barbara Chenoweth in New Lothrup, MI. He worked as a machinist for Paramount Die Cast for 34 years. Ben was an avid member of his church along with singing in the church choir. He loved playing games and cheering on his children and grandchildren when they played sports. Ben is survived by his wife Barbara; three children: Kevin (Jodi) Huebner of Berrien Springs, Karla (Roy) Heussner of Minnesota and Kim (Rick) Bingham of Stevensville; grandchildren: Steve, Jeff, & Tyler Huebner, Derek, Matt, & Rachel Heussner, Mandy (Joe) Williams, and Bailey & Livi Bingham; great-grandchildren: Lauren & Maverick Williams and Coleman Huebner; Siblings: Merton Huebner of Benton Harbor and Clarence (Murleen) Huebner of Texas; and numerous nieces & nephews. Ben was preceded in death by his parents and brother Albert.
