Anita “Ana” Brown, 55, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, June 29, 2015 at Lakeland Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 3, 2015 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 555 E. Delaware Ave., Benton Harbor, officiated by Father William Jacobs, Jr. Friends may visit Friday at 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. All are invited to the luncheon following the service. Burial will take place in Edinburg, TX. Arrangements entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Services in St. Joseph. She leaves behind 4 children to cherish her memory: Amanda, Thomas, Christina, and Edward Brown, along with 11 brothers and sisters. Ana became an American citizen in the spring of 2000. Her passions were gardening and caring for her children. She was most admired for her creativity and ability to remain optimistic despite any circumstance. She was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church.
