Patricia Ann Phillips

Patricia Ann Phillips, 73, of Riverside, MI passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Lakeland Medical Center in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Southwest Michigan or Muscular Dystrophy Association. Those wishing to sign Patricia’s guestbook may do so online at www.starks-menchinger.com. Patricia was born December 30, 1941 in Benton Harbor, MI to James Reed and Sophia Sue (Hook) Russell. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1959. Patricia was employed with Farmers & Merchants Bank, which changed their name to Chase Bank, and she retired as the Vice President of Human Resources. Patricia was proud to be a volunteer at Lakeland Medical Center, where she recently celebrated her accomplishment of 15,000 hour of volunteer work and crocheting over 1000 lap robes. Patricia loved family gatherings. She also enjoyed crocheting, reading mysteries and romance novels, and visiting the casino. Patricia is survived by her sisters, Joan Bedunah of Riverside, and Mary (Art) Miller of Toledo, OH and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother-in-law, Jimmy Bedunah.
