Jeanette P. Wach

Jeanette “Jan” P. Wach, 83, of Baroda, MI passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M., Monday, May 11, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church,  211 Church St. St. Joseph with Father James Morris officiating.  Friends may visit from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. Sunday at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd. St. Joseph, A Prayer Service will be held at 3:30 P.M. Jan was born December 15, 1931 in Benton Harbor, MI to Lewis & Pearl (Raskopf) Frisbie. She was a graduate of St. Joseph High School . On June 2, 1956 she wed Thomas Wach in Watervliet, MI. Jan retired from Whirlpool after 40 years as an executive secretary.  She was a member of the Berrien Kennel Club, St. Joseph Catholic Church, and the Scripture Study in the Catholic Tradition group at the church. Jan was past secretary of  Michiana 2 Cylinder Club. She enjoyed reading, knitting and crocheting, writing poetry and watching hummingbirds. She is survived by her children Debra (Eric) Adams of  Baroda, Jeffrey  Wach of Baroda, and Sherri Labay of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren Jason Adams of Wadesboro, NC, Shawn Adams of Ft. Bragg, NC, Renee Futch of Jacksonville, FL and Ray Ashley of Jacksonville, FL; seven great-grandchildren; nephew Don Hemming of St. Joseph and her loyal companion Buddy. She was preceded in death by her husband on October 17, 2006, her parents, her nephew Dave Hemming and numerous four legged companions.
