Elaine B. Hicks

Elaine B. Hicks, 82, of Stevensville, MI passed away on Friday, April 3, 2015 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph, MI. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home in St. Joseph, MI.   Elaine was born on April 22, 1932 in Boston, MA to William and Bernadette (Gagne) Roussos. On Dec. 11, 1949 in Boston she married Lowell Hicks. Elaine was a member of the St. Joseph Church of Christ; she loved to paint, play the organ, and do needlepoint. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph Church of Christ.   Elaine is survived by her husband of over 65 years-Lowell; her children-Russell Hicks of Sodus, MI, Evan (Susan) Hicks of Fair Oaks, CA, Ernest (Shirley) Hicks of Minooka, IL, Jamison (Lisa) Hicks of Galien, MI, and Mayrose Harner of Coloma, MI; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents-William and Bernadette, 3 brothers and a sister.   A Celebration of Life service will take place on Weds., April 8, 2:30pm at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI, with Steve Pylkas officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Bluff Cemetery, Stevensville, MI. A time of visitation will be on Tues., from 5:00-7:00pm at the funeral home, and also on Weds., prior to the service from 1:00-2:30pm.
