Cheryl Ann Horton

Cheryl A. Horton, 71, of St. Joseph, MI, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, April 9, 2015 at her residence.  There will be a memorial mass held in her memory at St. Joseph Catholic church on Monday, April 20, 2015 at 11:00 AM, preceded by family visitation at the church from 10:00-11:00 AM.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church. Cheryl was born on November 27, 1943 to John and Claire (Foristel) Randall in Newport, Rhode Island.  She married Dennis Horton, Sr. on June 22, 1963 in Newport. Cheryl was a strong Christian who enjoyed the friendship and fellowship of those dear to her from St. Joseph Catholic church.  She was known and loved by family and friends as a kind and gentle soul who cared deeply for others and devoted herself in loving service to them. She is survived by her children, Dennis (Annette) Horton, Jr. of Winchester, VA and Janet (Bill) Grant of LaGrange, KY; grandchildren, Andrew, Will, Jonathan and Joshua Horton, Erin (Josh) Gedeon and Katie Grant, Cody LoPresti, Hannah Wolf and Sami Richardson; great granddaughter, Celeste Gedeon; brothers, Gerald and Richard Randall; sister Claire (Martin) Curtis. Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Rebecca Horton Archie; son John “Randy” Horton; and brother Jack Randall.
