Carol's Obituary
Carol L. Dudding, 74, of St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2015 at Hanson Hospice Center, Stevensville.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Rev. Timothy Knauff officiating. A family gathering and burial will take place at a later date in Utah. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of SW Michigan. Carol was born in Lordsburg, New Mexico on January 17, 1941 to Frank and Mildred (Eddins) Brickey. She received her Master’s Degree from Andrews University in Guidance and Counseling. Carol retired as a counselor for St. Joseph Public Schools in 2003. She married Walter Molpus in 1985. He preceded her in death in 1999. On November 11, 2006 she married Richard Dudding, who preceded her in death in 2015. Carol was a member of the former St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and served as a board member of Safe Shelter, Inc. She also was a member of the Berrien County Sexual Assault Team and Chemo Angels. In her free time, she enjoyed poetry, water color & oil painting.
She is survived by her son Mark Bryan of Utah; Mark’s father Donald Bryan; step-son Walter Molpus, Jr. step-daughter Melody Ochs; granddaughters Ashley and Sabrina Molpus; brother Robert (Janice) Brickey of Salt Lake City, Utah, sisters Colleen (Tim) Moss of Nashville, TN, and Sue (David) Albee of Walden, New York; sister-in-law Margaret Brickey of Salem, Oregon; and nieces and nephews.
In additions to her husbands, Carol was preceded in death by her parents; son John Bryan; and brother William Brickey.
