Shirley Dahl

Shirley Dahl, age 90, of Phoenix Arizona and formerly of St. Joseph, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home on March 8, 2015.  She is survived by her children-Peggy Wright of Phoenix, Arizona; Sharon Thompson of Bridgman, Michigan; Susan Kinney of Davenport, Iowa and Michael Dahl of Joplin, Missouri, 9 Grandchildren, 11 Great-grandchildren and 2 great-great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Carrie Pool plus 12 siblings and her beloved daughter, Dede Stokes. She was an amazing woman who will be forever missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 15, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Service, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, March 16, at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
