Richard's Obituary

Richard Fausak, 88, of Bridgman, MI, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at his home.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 7, 2015 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 2673 W. John Beers Rd., Stevensville, with Pastor Jonathan Kruschel officiating. Burial will follow at Lincoln Township Cemetery in Stevensville. Friends may visit from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Friday, February 6, 2015 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Service, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or Hospice at Home. Those wishing to share a memory of Richard online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com  Richard was born February 12, 1926 in Bridgman, MI to Adolph & Amelia (Felhauer) Fausak. Richard served his country in the United States Army from 1944 until 1946. On June 4, 1949 he married Luella Lucker in Stevensville. Richard worked for Whirlpool for 42 years and was a life time farmer. He was a member of the Stevensville American Legion Post 568 and National Grape Co-Op for Welch’s for over 60 years.  Richard is survived by his daughters Barbara (Bruce) Russell-Bouwman of Paw Paw, MI and Constance (James) Segers of Buchanan, MI; son Larry (Rubie) Fausak of Galien, MI; 5 grandchildren Erin Russell, Shaun Russell, Jeremy (Amanda) Minikel, Bryan (Elizabeth) Minikel and Rachel Minikel; Richard was preceded in death by his parents, wife Luella, and siblings Adeline and Emma Jesswein, Ernest, Ewalt, Elsie, and Lillian Fausak.
