Earl H. Klukas Jr., 67, of St. Joseph, MI passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015 at his home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 23, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 619 Market St. St. Joseph, with Pastor Michael J. Roth officiating. Friends and family may visit from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd. St. Joseph. Earl was born October 23, 1947 in St. Joseph, MI to Earl & Margurete (Hetzer) Klukas. He graduated from St. Joseph High School and then went on to Sienna Heights University where he received his Bachelor’s in Business. Earl had a 20 year career at Cook Nuclear Plant doing Inventory Management. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Benton Harbor/ St. Joseph Elks Lodge # 541 and the St. Joseph River Yacht Club. Earl was a conversationalist, he said what he meant and he meant what he said. He enjoyed watching his Notre Dame teams, was an avid history buff and loved his Airedale Terriers.
He is survived by his loving wife Carol; daughters Heather (Jon) Hoezee of Grand Rapids, MI and Darcy (Jeremy) Brady of Muskegon, MI; grandchildren Aden Brady, Tessa Hoezee, Bree Hoezee and McKenna Brady; sisters Kathy Patzkowsky of Birmingham, AL and Liz (Rodney) Richmond of Eclectic, AL; brother Barry (Melinda) Klukas of Rockford, MI; several nieces and nephews and his mother-in-law Stella Adent of Bradenton, FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Mary Klukas.
Earl will always be remembered by one of his favorite sayings, “GO IRISH”
