Wava's Obituary
Wava A. Tebell-Buyce, 94, of St. Joseph, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Pine Ridge Nursing Home in Stevensville.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held Thursday, January 29, 2015, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Wava was born July 22, 1920 in St. Joseph, MI to Charles E. and Lela B. (Barnum) Shideler. She married Clarence “Tony” Tebell in St. Joseph and later her second husband, Edwin Buyce. Wava worked as a Cashier at Schneck’s Grocery Store for over 29 years. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling, golfing, bowling, photography, spending time with friends at the Senior Center, Dale’s Donuts, playing cards and singing at the nursing home.
Wava is survived by her daughter Bette (Edward “Ed”) Wesner of St. Joseph; son Edwin “Ed” (Kathy) Tebell of St. Joseph; grandchildren Richard (Jennifer) Tebell, Jennifer (Derek) Dunn, Dale Wesner and Greg (Jackie) Wesner; six great-grandchildren Zak, Jordyn, Brooke, Michael and one great-great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her first husband Clarence “Tony” Tebell, second husband Edwin Buyce, her parents, one brother and four sisters.
