Lorraine A. McMullen

Lorraine A. McMullen, 90, formerly of St. Joseph, passed away, Sunday, February 22, 2015 at Roosevelt Park Nursing & Rehabilitation in Muskegon. Celebration of Life Services will be held 11:30 A.M. Wednesday at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Rev. Gordie Barry officiating.  Private burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens, Coloma.   Friends may visit with the family beginning at 10:30 A.M. Lorraine was born December 31, 1924 in Chicago to Myles & Josephine (Kortus) VanDerAue.   The family moved to St. Joseph and she graduated from St. Joseph High School, Class of 1942.  On December 9, 1945, she married Robert McMullen in St. Joseph.  Before moving to Muskegon, Lorraine was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in St. Joseph.  She enjoyed needlepoint, sewing, reading, and most of all her family, especially her grand & great-grandchildren. Lorraine is survived by her daughter Cindy (Bill) Larson of Muskegon; two granddaughters-Erin (Christophe) Bakunas, Kelly (Mitch) Olsen; five great-grandchildren-Harrison, Isabella, Miller, Madeline, & Tripp; and two brothers-Lynn VanDerAue of St. Joseph & Chuck VanDerAue of Cartwright, Oklahoma.  She was preceded in death by her parents & her husband Robert on April 20, 1983.
