Phillip's Obituary

Phillip Prillwitz, 61, of Eau Claire, passed away, Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:30 A.M.  Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Dr. J.O. Hosler officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations may to be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Hanson Hospice Center, or Napier Parkview Baptist Church.  Those wishing to sign Phillip’s Memory Book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Phillip was born on January 9, 1954 in St. Joseph to Wesley and Viola (VanOsdal) Prillwitz. He graduated from Eau Claire High School, Class of 1972.  On June 10, 1984, he married the former Terri Miller in Eau Claire.  Phillip owned & operated Oak Hill Farms in Eau Claire from 1979 until his retirement in the fall of 2014.  In his free time Phillip enjoyed traveling, scuba diving, hunting, fishing, being outdoors and all of the beauty of nature.  He was a member of the Eau Claire Fruit Exchange where he served on the board of directors. Phillip is survived by his wife Terri; two brothers-Greg (Karen) Prillwitz & Rod (Beth) Prillwitz, both of Eau Claire; his father-in-law Leon Miller; a brother-in-law Lee (Lisa) Miller; two sisters-in-law-Cindy Miller & Sherri Miller; nieces & nephews-Christine (Rob) Huber, Beverly (Jeff) Shembarger, Dawn (Matt) Snow, Elyse Miller, Nathan Miller; a God-son Phillip Luke LaVanway; and many other great nieces & nephews, cousins & friends too numerous to mention.  He was preceded in death by his parents Wes & Viola Prillwitz, and his mother-in-law Diane Miller.
